Thanks again for hosting Bob. I put this together super fast! Was easier to do live take in Logic and add the short solo. I need to learn how some of the folks here are able to superimpose a second video over the original take. Any way, this Willie Nelson song peaked at number 2 on the Canadian Country charts!

Hi Bob! Here's a short and sweet T Rex number. Apparently it was beaten to number 1 by Clive Dunn's "Grandad". I don't think anyone's posted it yet, but then, I have still to catch up with the other postings…

I couldn't resist an overdub or two.

Time to squeeze out another song, to steal a pun from @YorkSteve

This one is a sort of sequel to his. I played this for a season a few months ago, but this time I'll do it baritone. I also think my strumming has improved since the last version (which actually makes me wince a touch now) - it's great to know I'm still learning.

My Second (and probably last) submission for this week was inspired by my lapsus at the beginning of the season and as it's also called "Seconds…" I hope it qualifies.

A rather self-indulgent and somewhat cathartic exercise in self-analysis for this original song, inspired by the ‘second best’ aspect of the theme. Baritone uke with synth bass, piano and pads, and some harmony vocals added too.

Wikipedia says this made it to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was kept from 1st place by Gilbert O'Sullivan's "Alone Again (Naturally)." I think maybe I should have left it alone, but I've always thought it was fun to sing along with. I had to lower the key, though. I can't handle the original key more than once or twice without wearing out my voice.

when I was a kid, me and my brothers would brag about who was better, and I always said this -

If I came in second nobody would come in first.

Last night I watched The Devil vs Daniel Johnston and I was thinking that there is no one like him and so I recorded this for you this morning. I played my uke in a way that I think Daniel Johnston might have played it if he had played one.

I was really excited to shoot this with a second hand camera from 2006…..

there is a cool butchery down the road from our house.

I filmed it the other day with a digital camera from 2006 for the old school look.

The names of the menu really tickled me and I thought they could be names of race horses.

So I asked Jon to be the commentator. He basically sat down and looked at the video and commentated as the video played on. One take. I can't remember which "race horse" came in second but i was laughing my ass off.

I played a vintage banjo uke and added some sound effects from a keyboard.

I was actually working on this video when the earthquke struck yesterday. Recorded a few hours before it hit. Here it is, about 24 hours later. There is still no electricity, but I've got food and water and a solar panel to run the 'puter and router. And of course, nothing stops the ukulele.
