chris667 Cheers - I'm in London, but it's okay, I borrowed one for the thing I was at yesterday. And even played a piano! I'm not going home until Thursday but the rest of the trip is for work (boo) so probably no time to be playing anyway.
I reckon it'll be fine - lots of people have said it should be a matter of the right glue. I'm definitely leaving it to a pro to do the job though, in case I make it worse.
Mostly it's annoying that I don't know how it happened, because then I could find a way for it to not happen again. Maybe it got knocked on the train while I wasn't paying attention, or even in the (tiny because it's London) hotel room. Oh well. As long as it's fixable, these little mishaps are just part of an instrument's story, I suppose. The inevitable scar on the neck will remind me of a fun trip visiting my filking friends!
