Season 668 - Seven Up!

Wow, that was a lot of work to post everyone's videos from this week! Thanks, Steve of York!

As the Season is still open, may I offer my second one here. This idea came from learning the newest song (from 2019), thinking it sounded a lot like another song (from 2005) which sounded like the oldest of the I/VI/III/V tunes (1998)…

THis was my friend Thura's first time playing the bass, and he played better than I did!

This one from yesterday got left off: "Life During Wartime" - Talking Heads

(It's ahead of Jim P's and Joko's in the playlist if you're following along there.)

Sunday twofer:

Taylor Swift covered "How to Save a Life" in 2011 in Denver, The Fray's home city.

"Life", plus 2011 is one of my 7 years.

I have an actual Taylor song twofer for tomorrow if I can learn it….

Just sneaking this one in at the lastest minute, so it might get left out.

Hmmm, I seem to be being prevented from embedding any thing (fixed by a passing Admin…)

What was wrong ????? My browser console was full of crap…anyhoo Thanks passing Mystery Admin.

I posted this in the Google Group too, but figured I'd double up as a way to try out the new digs. Sorry for my voice. I'm at the tail end of a head cold.

And big thanks to all who put in the work to get this set up.

Graham likes short videos, but this one seemed it could do with a bit of padding out.

I hope you play along. You need D, A or A7 and Em.

That's it, SOTU 668 is over. I'll be back later with a short wrap. Thanks for sorting out Ralf and Jarvo's entries Wendy, I've been out all morning but it was on my to do this afternoon list.

Thanks to everyone who took part, I think we were all making it up as we went along but it seemed to work out ok in the end.

We finished with 37 songs from 21 seasonistas, the split between the options being fairly even.

There were some distractions going on which may also have affected the number of entries, that problem has hopefully disappeared now that we've moved to this splendid new forum. Many, many thanks to all those involved in getting it up and running in such a short amount of time.

I'm entering a busy period so I'll hardly be around for the next 3 weeks or so, have fun everyone and all the best for the festive period.
