When Sunday came, I was in the 3rd and ecisive day of dysentery. When I couldn't even make it from my bed to the baathroom door just feet away without leaving a trail… when I gave up on looking for home treatments for amoebic dyssentery.. when I realized that the antibiotics recommended by half a dozen online med sites and only 25 cents for a strip of ten pills at my local pharmacist were just that…. run-of-the-mill treatments to fight whaterver little monsters I'd somehow ingested.. probably via the clean-looking water drawn from the weill under my home….
I needed to got to the hoispital. But too weak too drive myself… My local taxi app was suspended… what to do? Thura was working at the time,,, but caame trhough… 15 minutes later, I was on my way to a private hospital.
I get there, describe the maelstorm of poo, nauseau and pain that had steadily gotten worse, and they told me. The gastroentoligist isn;t here. Come back tomorrow?
I'm DYING!
Would you like to see another physician?
No, I came to the hospital to look at very sick people and bored companions sit in these lovely plastic seating batteries. GET ME A DOCTOR OR I WILL POO ALL OVER THEM!!
I got admitted. Had lots and lots of tests… I think they wanted to use the machine that goes PING but couldn't justify it, FOund out later that the attending doctors were upgraded due to a VIP being in their hospital… (they must have heard I'm the 2,743rd most renowned uke player in the world)…
I got my own room. A TV with 3 channels. UNlimited adult diapers. Pajamas. Hourly nurse visits. A great view of the city…. But I still couldn;t mke the bathroom without the cup or so of discharge slipping out my clenching butt. Poo is digusting. BUt it's OTHER PEOPLE'S POO that makes us feel that way. By this point, I was just wallowing in it.
THIngs got better. ANd now, I'm pretty much back to normal. ALthough mysterioursly, there is no poo at all, despite a heaalthy appetite. I guess my large intestine is taking its time after so long being a freeway.
