So, a couple of months ago I posted a song by Burton Cummings, and several people did not know who that was... and that made me sad. Burton Cummings, was, of course, the lead singer, writer and leader (with Randy Bachman) of the Canadian rock band, The Guess Who. So for this season we will have
Songs recorded by the Guess Who and associated bands Bachman Turner Overdrive or Brave Belt.
Songs recorded by Burton Cummings or Randy Bachman as solo acts (or Bachman/Cummings together).
Since Thursday is Thanksgiving Day in the USA, on that day you may post any song that contains the word “pie”. Post those anytime when it is Thursday where you are.
Originals are welcome with songs that contain the word “Guess”
This may seem to be a very narrow set of songs, but, I've checked, and there are chords available online for over 260 songs by The Guess Who, BTO, Brave Belt or Cummings or Bachman. But if several people want to do the same song, more power to ya. There are also numerous covers that these artists have recorded, and those are also eligible, but please mention who and where they had recorded the cover. I messed up and could have had a 2fer with Running Bear, because that was covered on the Guess Who album “Rockin'”
Let's go with a limit of seven songs each this season. Any overdubs or added instruments are fine, as long as the ukulele is predominant.
No videos should be posted before 12:00 AM Sunday Hawaii time. Season ends at 11:59:59 PM Hawaii time the next Sunday.
