PS, I once volunteered for an onstage contest during Rebel Bingo at the Woodford Folk Festival, a HUGE festival Christmas - New Year week here in Queensland, where Kate is a beloved annual highlight. Previous contests included physical and mental feats of skill, and I felt I could do well and maybe win a prize. Instead, host Rebel decided to have my group play Heads Up, where the name of a famous person is displayed on your head, where everyone but you can see it, and you have to ask yes/no questions to guess who you are. The other contestants were mostly internationally famous people, and they all guessed them pretty quickly. I - the recently arrived migrant with the funny accent - was up there all alone at the end, completely stumped. The entire audience were shouting clues at me, and still … nada. No clue. My public shame dragged on and on, until at last I had to admit defeat, and the whole auditorium yelled the answer at me.
