It's the first twofer day of the new year! Y'all have just over 21 hours to throw one together. I personally can't think of a good twofer, but plenty of good sinner/saint songs and of course still many "new' and "year" songs for y'all. I can't wait to see what creations are yet to appear!
This day is also a rare treat in Seasonistastan where we have the opportunity to submit to three discussions! Don't forget that in addition to our final day here and Ms Bean's new season, you may submit your favorite performance of the year on the "best of 2025" discussion. I will continue to monitor that list and all submissions which happen in this season will also be included on the SOTU 724 playlist.
I am probably the only one that cares about this, but I promised a recap of my previous and first season as host and it was never forthcoming. At any rate, I will attempt to remember to do so this season, and I might even go ahead and finish off my duty on the first one, just because I actually had come up with some awards and stuff, but then I saw a shiny object and as I approached it to see what it was all about, another shiny object appeared and another, etc.
