It looks like we've been hit with a bunch of spam. Who has the authority to remove these posts?

i saw them too! Gosh, there were 3 when I was here this morning, and now there are more. This is not the first time this has happened. Not sure what's going on.

Thanks @CanadaJim and @joo - I’ve now removed the posts and banned the perpetrators. I did the same for a bunch that appeared yesterday too. It’s happened a couple of times previously - easy enough to deal with, just time consuming and a pain in the backside.

Needless to say (but I’ll say it anyway), please don’t click on any links they post. If you can, as soon as you notice anything untoward please PM me or one of the other admins (thanks to Joo for letting me know this time) - @DelGriff, @EdwinAdmin, @YorkSteve, @UkeCan1 or @BigKingVelour - and we can remove them ASAP.

UPDATE…

So we’ve had some more spam attacks today - thanks to Jim @uke4ia and Joo @joo for promptly alerting me. I’ve made a few settings changes that might help with this, and asked my fellow admins (who have more knowledge of this stuff than I) to look deeper into it when they can.

Unfortunately I can’t be watching the forum non-stop (I have to work and I have to sleep), but I’ll be extra vigilant in dealing with the situation if/when it arises. Please continue to notify me by PM if you notice anything untoward again.
