Thanks to everyone who has participated in Season 729.
It was fun to see how each of you picked your own theme, based on the 7 cartoons I have presented here.
I thought that the cartoons themselves don't have to be profound or even good works of art, but I know there are visual clues there for each of you to relate and engage in whichever way you chose to. And each of you have interpreted them in ways that are humourous, clever, and philosophical. For that reason, I think this Season has been a success!
As mentioned, I wasn't scheduled to host Season 729, but when Del asked if I could, 2 weeks (I think) before the Season, I was happy to do it, and I am so glad I did.
I have not been more present as I would like to, as I am on holiday with Jon visiting my family in Singapore. But I have enjoyed all the songs. I hope you all have too!
There are no prizes this week. But I might, when I am home in Tasmania, sit down and make some kind of visual diary of how each of you have related to the images. No promise, but I MIGHT do that.
Before that actually does happen, I want to give a special shout out to 4 people.
Joko! For his fun parody and animation! And how lovely to see his students playing along in one of them! Thanks Joko! (I want some "Joo" money! And yours and your students' interpretations of the images are great!)
Berni! For penning 3 originals based on the images, while waiting in the hospital as the doctor was operating on his wife Carman. Hope Carman makes a full recovery soon, Berni! You and your songs are awesome. Thank you!
Bobby! For a rare Bob J King original! What a beautiful song. Thanks Bobby! Big virtual bear HUG to you! I shall now think of a song to win that little Bobby for your Season. I foresee Jon and I fighting over him, with the rest of our cuddly toys feeling neglected.
Wendy! For playing a song for EACH of the image! Wendy brings the sun whenever she brings a song. You can't help feeling the passion she has and the warmth radiating from her. And when she plays a more mellow or sad kind of song, the gentleness in her voice is lovely. You can tell how much she loves performing with her uke and how much she loves the Seasons. Thanks sis!
And of course, not forgetting Brian, Jim, Alan, David, Kevin, Dan, Paul, John, Del, Steve, Ralf, and Sabine for their entries! Each one different from the other, each one great in his and her own way! Fantastic Season, I think!
Thanks again everyone! Hope you all have a great week!
BIG HUGS!!!
