OnlyUkeThatMatters Edwin and I had the exact same idea, though as usual I needed all week to practice. Here's another take on Tom Lehrer's "The Hunting Song"…
UkeCan1 Monday twofer. I've done this one before, but it fits. It's about a man on the hunt for his missing girlfriend, who uses a pinball term to describe her "Eight Foot Two, Solid Blue" by Allan Sherman
MsBean And a traditional children's song, popular in the Low Countries. There are different melodies, lyrics, and gestures around.
potmo MsBean Nice topic Sabine. I really was hoping to contribute but I tried to do more than I could do (as usual) refused to give up)(as usual) until I realized that there would be no Ms Bean style late entry. I was surprised that while many people sang about being hunted, nobody sang about animals doing the hunting. In addition to Wimoweh (The Lion Sleeps), I also wanted to do The Fox by Odetta, literally a song about a fox going out to hunt for food for the kiddies. So little time...
jon potmo "The Fox" is a ripper song for sure mate. it was on my list too but i reached the song limit before i could post it haha. anyway, since it was stuck in my head i recorded it anyway… 🙂
