For those who don’t know, every February there is an online songwriting challenge called FAWM (February Album Writing Month) - the challenge being to write 14 new songs in the month of February. It’s a crazy idea really, but for the prolific songwriters of this world it’s quite an event. I’ve kind of taken part for a few years, only once managing the full quota (and even then cheating a bit by doing a couple of different versions of some of my songs), and usually falling woefully/gleefully short of the target.
I wasn’t planning to take part this year, but was tempted into a songwriting collaboration with Andrea Brennan, a really good lyricist that I’ve written with before (see our playlist here).
So this is my one and only entry to this year’s FAWM - with baritone uke, some keyboard additions and vocal harmonies. Andrea’s words and my music.
