It’s a simple theme this week – any song recorded by The Beatles or The Byrds. Not by the members as solo artists or in other collaborations, but just by the bands themselves.
According to that ultra-reliable source, Google, The Beatles released 214 songs in their active years, with more appearing since. Meanwhile The Byrds recorded 130 songs across their 12 studio albums, plus a load of singles, B-sides and no doubt others which have emerged since. So plenty to go at.
If you want to do an original song, why not try a song about Birds, or indeed, Beetles?
All of the usual rules apply –
Songs must be newly recorded for this week. Ukulele should be prominently featured, but other instruments can be used too.
Collaborations are always welcome, and often fun.
A limit of three songs each.
If you are new to the Seasons, hello – you get an introductory offer of doing absolutely any song at all, by anybody. But just this once. OK?
The Season starts at 00:01 Hawaii time, Sunday 25th May, and ends 23:59 Sunday June 1st.
