As some of you already know, I’m not a huge fan of musicals. Especially the ones that go from normal dialogue straight into apparently spontaneous song and dance, then back into normal dialogue like it’s the most natural thing to happen. It just doesn’t work for me - the acting kills the music and the music kills the acting. That’s not to say that there aren’t some wonderful songs from musicals - just that they usually work better out of context for me.
Anyway - here’s a song that I’ve always loved - though thankfully I’ve never seen the musical! 😆 I know it’s supposed to be sung by a female, so ignore the beard and use your imagination! 😁
