Thought I would do one more for this season… it is a song that I never would have considered doing in the past because it was done by… The Poni-Tails in 1958. Not exactly a song in my singing range. But it fit the season so well… and wasn't a country song. I broke out my collection of vintage plastic ukes and gave it a shot. Born Too Late.

I feel a bit guilty for butchering one of my favourite songs. It's sad, mournful, dour and forever popular! Dowland's signature ayre was originally an instrumental piece for solo lute (Lachrymae Pavane).

Turning the lute solo in a uke arrangement is above my play grade, but I can't sing the melody with a chordal accompaniment on uke either. I've attempted to bring a chord melody version, and I'd like to refer you to the linked pdf for the lyrics.

Sorry for the late wrap Folks.I've really enjoyed listening to the contributions this week, and a few of these sad songs will be added to my repertoire.

We had 37 sad love songs this Season. That's a little over 4 a day.
Alan and Dr. Mitch gave us 4 songs each. Thanks Guys.
Nearsighted Lemon gave us three tunes.
Wendy, Threebird, Val, Jarvo, Ylle, Jim P. and yours truly gave us 2 a piece.

I really wish that I had the technical skills that some of the Seasonistas have. I'm afraid that my feeble attempts at adding extra tracks are very low tech.
