Thanks for hosting, Ila! 🙂
Fans of the British royal family please look away now. Personally, I detest them. Over the centuries they’ve abused their position of power, privilege and obscene wealth to get away with murder (sometimes literally), and they are still doing it. Yet somehow the British people tolerate them, and in many cases still idolise them. It’s utterly baffling to me.
Prince Andrew, aka the Duke of York (because one title never quite seems enough for any of them), is the latest to use his position of privilege and wealth to behave abhorrently yet evade justice for his role in the scandal that ensued. The song I’ve covered here sums it up nicely. When our host @Ila visited these shores in July, a small group of us met up in Hyde Park, London, which is just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace - I’d have loved for us all to have played this one so loudly that any royals in residence could hear it! 😆
