That’s a Royal Wrap!
Thank you, one and all, for your thoughtful and entertaining contributions to this week’s Season of the Ukulele. This was my eleventh time hosting, and it’s always a sincere pleasure to do so.
However, the downside is having to pick a winner. And it’s difficult to choose, each and every time I host. So, as per usual, I couldn’t decide on just one.
So I’ve selected the following winners:
Del, for making me laugh. I actually had to Google the word “nonce.” I thought it meant something like nincompoop or someone of insignificance or unimportance, but was surprised and actually impressed that it is “a derogatory British slang term for a pedophile or sex offender.” How fitting!
Maggie and Jim Yates, for Maggie’s fantastic backup vocals to her husband Jim’s singing and playing, and for Jim’s Dead Egyptian Blues. I enjoyed Maggie every bit as much as Jim, so they’re both getting patches.
The last award goes to Mitch for “Don’t Stop Me Now.” I loved every bit of it.
And finally, an Honorable Mention and Welcome to Potmo! I applaud your enthusiasm and welcome you as an official Seasonista. I hope you continue to contribute to our weekly challenges!
Thank you, one and all, for making this Season a delight. Now sally forth on to Steve’s 1975 songs!
