Here's another short one. A homemade song.
A few weeks ago, I found 2 Kodak digital cameras in a box of FREE STUFF outside someone's front lawn. It had been raining the day before and the cameras were wet when I found them. Yet, they both worked!
They are old Kodak EasyShare compact cameras. Missing batteries, I started reading up a little about Kodak cameras.
Turned out that the first portable digital camera was produced by Steven Sasson who then worked for Kodak. It's funny, 'cause Kodak was known for its film, so I was not surprised to read that the Kodak people told Sasson to keep the invention under wraps. But Kodak still did go bankrupt eventually as most of us started using digital cameras.
I have been using some old digicams from the early 2000s lately, and I really like them. I take videos and photos of birds and animals and, well, just anything that interest me, and today I even saw an echidna! I have created a separate YT channel just for my nature videos, and this is one I just made for that channel.
Before I saw the echidna today, I saw this starling standing on a tall pole this morning, and I used the video of the starling for this little song.
It really isn't a song, just a line that says, "Steven Sasson of Eastman Kodak in the United States produces the first self-contained (portable) digital camera." I played some clawhammer and sang. The starling sang a little bit too.
(Thank you, Mr. Sasson!, and Thanks Steve, for hosting!)
Ooops, I almost forgot to say why this little song qualifies. Sasson invented the first digital (portable) camera in 1975.
