Hello All, and welcome to Season 712 of the Ukulele. Your prompt this week is to bring me something wild. This could be any (or all) of:
- Songs that have the word "wild" in the title or lyrics, or in the name of the band,
- Songs that are about (or mention) one or more wild animals, or
- Songs that tell a wild story - examples might include tall tales, something out of the ordinary (like a Big Foot or alien encounter), or something from real life but that stretches credulity somewhat.
Some additional guidance - Alternate spellings, e.g., "wyld", and forms, e.g., "wilderness", are ok. If you go the animal route, it must be about or mention a wild animal; metaphors are out of bounds.
For the people who prefer to write and play something original, please do what you can to draw inspiration from one of the above prompts.
If you are new here, or have been lurking for a bit but not joined, you can bring any song you like, regardless of whether it fits the above theme. But if you decide to contribute more than one song, your songs 2 through n must fit one of the above prompts.
If you have any other questions or need a reminder, you can always refer to the FAQ thread. But, as is typical for one of my weeks, the usual rules apply… The song must be newly recorded for this season; please do not post before midnight Hawai'i Time on October 5th or after midnight Hawai'i time on October 13; multi-tracking and other instruments are fine, but your ukulele must be front and center (and high in the mix); collaborations are more than welcome; please try and listen to and leave some positive (or at least constructive) feedback on other people's videos; etc., etc.
There is no song limit this week.
