Thank you, Del, for allowing this window of unthemed sharing as I've got something here that has gots some warts on it, but I'm proud I got done before the 25th deadline. I'm told my Burmese singing is actually becoming decipherable.
Here I've taken a Christmas song written back in 2020, hence it has a lot of "Home Quaratine" influences in the lyrics, and made it my one new Xmas recording this year. Well sorta new. Looking back, I did an ENglish interpretation of it in 2021 for week 514… This one is in Burmese.
Music and lyrics written by a guy named Sang Pi. Last night, on upload to YouTube, I found Sang Pi's Facebook page - he's still very active in the Christian music scene here - and I sent it a message informing them of the cover. Twenty minutes later, I got a one-word message back: Beautiful! I'd like to think the composer himself enjoyed my version, but even if it was his "social network team", it's a thrill to get engagement from a real recording artisst.
