I am posting a little earlier this time, because it is past midnight here and I think I might sleep in tomorrow. So, I thought I should post my Season before I hit the sack.

The theme for Season 742 is.......ta-da! INTERJECTIONS!

This week, play me songs that contain an interjection in the title or lyrics! Uh-huh, it is as simple as that!

Songs by band names that contain an interjection are cool too! Yeah!

Happy birthday to Bing Crosby from Mount Crosby!

Bing's "Swinging on a Star" won an Oscar and a Grammy.

It opens with the interjection "Oh!" ... and that's the only one. So I added some more. It's a song that asks a lot of questions, so it was natural to interject some responses!

(I also included a snippet of Pat Donohue's parody version, which includes one more.)

It also includes the word "fool".

Wendy started the Season with an adorable and brilliant performance of Bing Crosby's Swinging on a Star! She added some interjections which made it so fun to watch and listen. I think people who don't know the song might think that the song comes with all the extra interjections, because Wendy did it so naturally. Haha! A fabulous entry from the fabulous Wendy, ladies and gentlemen!

I need to say - that it is perfectly fine if a song has only ONE interjection. And the song and your performance do not have to be like Wendy's spirited, cheerful cover. I know my intro is super happy sounding, but I am not asking for super happy songs. Any kind of song is most welcome.

I found a song by Michael Hurley that has only ONE interjection. Actually, it only has ONE word. Have a listen.

Anyone interested to cover this? (Bobby? @bobjking John? @johnpoole ) I am thinking to record it myself. Some of you might know that I love Michael Hurley's songs. I am painting lots these days, and I feel like I should work on my songs more before I record. So, let's see if I can manage the time to do it.

Another song that I want to learn, and record is Paul Simon's Everything Put Together Falls Apart. I was thinking to do it for Del's Season on the theme of Together, but I didn't find the time to do it. Such a beautiful song. Not easy to do! It has a couple of interjections.

I think Brian @UkeFoote will do a lovely cover of that. Anyone else interested to cover it?

dr_mitch I am hopeless with grammar! When I looked at the list of interjections online, I was surprised to find so many words we say are considered interjections. But that means that there are LOTS of songs we can choose to play! That is my intention! And YEP! Those sure read like interjections to me! Gonna add your video to the playlist now but I shall listen and comment tomorrow!

Hello from a sunny morning in the Southeast of Tasmania! Hope everyone is feeling fine, wherever you are.

Today I started painting and realised that I have been trying too hard to paint every detail. So, I painted the whole thing over and restarted, this time making just a few strokes. And BOY! I felt like I could finally breathe.

I am not sure if playing the uke should be approached in the same way, that is, less is more. Mmm. I dunno. But I know that there is room for a lot of songs here, and I am looking forward to seeing what you will bring.

I just listened to Alan @AlanDP 's Oh Boy! How it was Raining! The lyrics make me giggle. Hehe. The songs they wrote in those days are so simple and silly and endearing. Alan's whistling, strumming, and singing are awesome, even his outfit looks cool. I will call it the Texan-Meets-Hawaiian-GoGrabYourUkeandSing-Smart-Casual.

This is an original I wrote in 2006 while putting wood stain on the front steps. It's about Hamlet. It's a two-fer because it includes the word "fool" and the interjection "Whoops!" The lyrics are in the YouTube description.

I first did this one for Yacht Rock Season 113, and it was in my regular performance rotation for a while - such a great song. It contains lots of interjections and many "fools", so time to bring it back.

What is it with those songs eh? And he sang it so nicely. Very simple strumming was all it needed. I am going to add all DelGriffs to the playlist!

In case you dunno what a DelGriff is. It is a song that you had posted in a previous Season and which the current host allows you to post on the current Season again!

And then when I was about to log off I saw Wendy's Fooled Around and Fell in Love with lots of interjections. Well, lots of interjections often can be found in a relationship, isn't it!? I dunno that song but I like watching Wendy play and she did a very simple picking, and it worked so well. I think, as I type this, that she must have made it look simple. I don't think it is!
