Time for a wrap! It was a good week with almost 50 songs - and if anyone is on the fence about hosting, I definitely envourage them; it's not too much work, and absolutely guaranteed fun. Some particular mentions
And special thanks and @KKimura who joined us this week, with a great rendition of Mr.Bojangles.
@jon is on a creative high at the moment, and brought us 9 songs. @potmo has consistent enthusiasm, and I now learn a great esteem for Elvis Costello. @Nearsighted-Lemon-McKay also brought a good number of songs in his lovely laid back style. @CanadaJim and @AlanDP brought several songs showing seemingly effortless skill and a love for the classics.
@DelGriff clearly puts a lot of time and love into his videos, with outstanding effect, and gave us an older original. @UkeCan1 is the undisputed champion of the twofer, giving us one this week and two other great songs. There were some terrific originals too, including a new punk classic from @Barbablanca , a beautiful slice of whimsy from @joo ,a really cool song from @OneManAndHisPGUke (as well as more Elvis Costello) , a witty original from @Nearsighted-Lemon-McKay and two originals from @jon - where we bonded over a shared desire not to wear jeans.
@Bystander managed to find time to brinv us a song I've always found oddly compelling. I always find @Renaissance-Man plays great songs with fantastic vocals. @UkeFoote is a terrific musician, and knows how to groove. @uke4ia gave us some absolute fun and @OnlyUkeThatMatters brought us a less known Clash song.
@Mezcalero and @Threebird gave great introductions to songs I didn't know. @LimousinLil gave us another classic, and proved once again that she is ahead of me in the hat game.
And finally, @MsBean , our resident classical player, closed with a lovely and very appropriate piece.
Thanks everyone! And heartfelt apologies if my ailing brain left you out - I still appreciate you.
