Nice. Two more quality postings including Sabine, my favorite! (I know I shouldnt pick favorites but I can't help it). I always go to sleep hoping to wake up and see her smiling face and then hear her sweet voice and play.
Wendy gets the MVP this week for sure! A daily post including a collab, an original a three song mini concert and unimaginable act of bravery in the face of missing equipment, An original and some great covers of some great horrible and mediocre songs! All sound great when Wendy plays. A crappy song will not stand in her way.
Jon just had another ho-hum ten song season. He has us all spoiled! Thank you again Jon for all you do. Not only do you completely avoid the "perfectionism vs volume" conflict by being perfect and producing volume, you even find the time to comment on all the seasonistas videos. You rule, dude mate.
Hall of famers @AlanDP and @CanadaJim did not fail to disappoint either with a host of excellent numbers and of course performances.
A special welcome to newcomer @lemon (we now have two lemons in the group!) and welcome back to OG @BigKingVelour Rick demonstrated his deep insights into the nuances of the rulebook so that he could give us a spectacular flashback. Win win.
Lemon braved my super strict requirement to make newcomers stick to the theme. At the risk of @aviva and @xamar calling me "Baby Arguer". I can't help but point out that a lot of newcomers have shown up "under my watch" none seem to mind sticking to the theme. Just saying.
It is also great to see a group of newcomers/ returning OGs becoming regulars in the mix again. I'm really enjoying both of my sisters' performances and wim @xommen and @KKimura. And of course, there are always some tremendous performances week in and week out by those who choose to submit only 1 or 2 songs, but who always bring fantastic sons and performances to the mix.
I am planning a more thorough recap filled with note by note critiques of everyone, uncovering all their flaws and of course I will probably come up with some crazy interesting stats that none of you will care about.
Lots more to talk about but I must leave things as they stand. Speaking of moving, it does look like I have found a place as long as a few nuances in the contract are ironed out. In other words it is my decision at this point. This is good, but now all the things I couldn't do before until I secured a place are left to be done and with only 5 weeks to go, you might have to wait a bit. Or not, this is kind of a nice procrastination outlet.
