Well - here’s a little reminder of recent events for everyone…
Chris was part of the moderating team on Ukulele Underground (UU) that unceremoniously dumped the Seasons from the forum, and in the process rubbished and maligned so much of what our wonderful community is all about. Lies were told, half truths were exaggerated, and we were completely and utterly misrepresented in an effort to justify their underhand actions.
In spite of his position on UU as moderator, Chris @hands_on_lanzon claimed at the time to be completely unaware of what they had decided to do. The obvious, simple and honourable course of action open to him was to resign his position as moderator, distance himself from their misdeeds, and join us in our efforts to find a new home for the Seasons.
What did he actually do? Barely two weeks after we had been dumped, he started up a copycat version of the Seasons on UU (don’t try to tell me that this wasn’t part of the UU plan) - an act of incredible insensitivity and betrayal. Those of us that voiced our dismay and disapproval on the forum were banned for life from Ukulele Underground - me included - and our critical posts were deleted. The new song challenge on UU was temporarily shelved, but barely a month later is now in full swing, with Chris at the helm.
These are facts, btw.
I’m flabbergasted that he thinks he has a place here. Another act of extreme insensitivity.
I won’t be entering into any kind of exchange about what I’ve written here btw. It’s just a reminder of events for those that seem to have incredibly short memories.
