[I just posted a fun mashup that I'm quite proud of over at 676, which would be a twofer if I hadn't already hit the song limit.]
Re the other thing, I believe it's fundamentally important that we be welcoming to all comers (unless they persistently behave in a way that is actively abusive or hostile to others, which I think is thankfully rare among ukulele people). To do otherwise would be hypocritical, and not who we've been claiming to be.
We don't have to like everyone, or interact with everyone, but each of us is going to have different feelings toward each other individual member of our community, and no two people will share the same set.
It's our job as adults to deal constructively with our personal thoughts and emotions, and not impose them on others who may feel differently. Disagreeing with respect and generosity is part of what makes a loving, welcoming, sustainable collective of fellow humans.
I think of the UU / Seasons split like a "divorce". Some of us will choose to move in with Mom, others will stay with Dad, and still others will want to maintain good relations with both.
Some will have hurt or angry feelings and lingering scars, and we can support each other to heal and feel and grow and feel safe as we find our way together.
I respect every individual's choice about how to navigate our new post-split world.
I personally have moved in here with Mom … but I still respect Dad and will spend time with him when I choose. And I love all my brothers and sisters and honor their choices, and I plan to remain friends with each and every one of us regardless.
I love you all.
Peace. 🕊
