Thanks for hosting, Andy!
Jon and I went to our favourite bakery in Sandy Bay yesterday. We went there for their out-of-this-world coffee eclair with custard, but then we saw these salad rolls that cost $3 each and $5 if you bought 2! We have never seen a big, nice-looking salad roll that costs anything less than $7 each, so we thought they were a day old or something. The cashier told us they were freshly made, so we just had to buy them for lunch today! I just ate one and boy, it was GOOD!!! Generous amount of everything! Sliced red onions, cheese, ham, lettuce, grated carrots, hard-boiled egg, tomatoes, and seasoned with pepper and mayo. I love that this bakery makes good quality rolls that are affordable for anyone! I mean, $2.50 for a yummy salad roll??? The staff there are really friendly and everyone always looks pretty happy. It makes me think that the person running this place must be a good boss, that's why everyone working there is happy. And when they are happy, the customers are happy too!
I think each of us can make a difference for......... better salad rolls!!! Yay!
Words:
This song is for the man who made this delicious salad roll I am eating. And for his boss who believes in using the freshest ingredients. And the boss's wife who thinks a salad roll should not cost more than $3. And the cashier who smiled and asked me : How are you today? So this song is for the man who made this delicious salad roll I am eating. And all the kind people, all the kind people, all the kind people around him.
(Thanks to Jon for filming this. I ate my roll already, which got me to write this song. The one in the video is his.)
