Preparing a video:
I wanted to put an mp3-track and something visual together to a YT-video and wasn't in the mood to switch on my Linux-PC from stone age with kdenlive. Googling, I dectected some websites offering creating videos online: www.movavi.de, veed.io, www.renderforest.com, www.synthesia.io and www.canva.com. I took the last, and was astonished how easy that was going.
You don't have to register, I could login directly (by my google-account) and could start from scratch.
I used the perfect mp3-track from the course, one picture from the uke-gang with ca. 20 copies (made directly in the tool) and transitions between the pictures:
- I pulled the pic of the uke gang from my laptop-folder over to the canva-window, also the mp3-track.
- Each pic always has at once a certain time length of some seconds. You could pull the pic to a longer time, or copy/paste/delete existent pics or putting another pics or vids.
- Copy/paste/undo… all as known from Windows with ctrl+c/ctrl+v/ctrl+z …
- The picture was given some text-blocks plus arrows.
- Picture+text+arrows = whole pic was copied by ctrl+c and stacked behind each other (ctrl+v). Or between other pics.
- Changing words and the time length of each pic (pulling/pushing by cursor)
- In the end a transition (shown, when the cursor is between the pics) from pic to pic was included, here smooth rise/vanish of changings.
- In the end the result can be directly downloaded as mp4.
The online tool for free has restricted features, but I am pleased by the free offer. I assume, that other websites are similar. Although easy, it took me around 2 hrs, more trained it would be less than an hour. But still a lot and the reason, why I (and others) try to avoid editing music/video-tracks.
Here's the result: one mp3-track, one picture (~20 copies) with smooth transitions between the changings (text-blocks).
