Here’s a song from January 1968, described by Wikipedia as a folk-rock song, which hopefully fits the theme.
So, I would have been 16 months old when it was released, and it did reach the top spot in the UK charts - making it probably one of the first songs that became imprinted on my very young brain at the time. Which kinda explains why it has a very strange, slightly spooky, effect on me whenever I hear it. Hard to describe the feeling, but there’s definitely something weird about it. Anyway, I love the song - even though I’m still not quite sure what it’s all about! 😆
